about

This release is a nostalgic one to showcase the early rave years and to document a brief evolution of my early instrumental ideas and experiments. 89, 91 and 93 were not included here as those years seemed to have been primarily vocal projects or the tapes just sucked.
By no means are these the best tracks I have made, but they have great presence. They take me back to my late teens and early 20's. So many people were involved here in so many ways from the parties to the equipment to the photography and my wardrobes. I do like to take credit though for pushing the record button and archiving them. In the late 80's through the mid 90's my artist names changed a lot especially for performances. Deizm, Rhythm Fiction, Dubcon, Lift, C4000, Revolve and Noise Inside of Noise were some of the names myself and collaborators performed under. A lot of the early recordings were destroyed on purpose by my own hands. The earliest breakdance tracks and shortly later on, industrial dance tracks I made between 85 and 91 I felt needed to be destroyed along with 90% of the rave tapes from the early 90's. I found these old tapes that I had not destroyed a few decades later in boxes in my parents shed in Alaska. They had survived many 40 below winters, I was pleasantly surprised. I did some light editing on them over the past year and a half through the pandemic and I thought it was time to share them.
Thanks again to everyone who was involved in Anchorage and Fairbanks, Portland, Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia.
And a special dedication to those we lost too soon, you are all in my heart forever, I cherish the memories. Val, Tina, James and Annie.

Much love Davie
